How to Make Webinars Visible to AI Assistants
Webinars hold a lot of expert knowledge, but AI cannot watch a recording. Here is how to turn each session into content assistants can read and cite.

AI assistants rarely learn anything from a webinar recording alone, because they mostly read text. To make a webinar count for AI visibility, publish a public page for each session with a clear title, a written summary, key takeaways, a transcript and the audience questions with answers. That turns one hour of expertise into material assistants can find and quote.
Why webinars are often invisible
Most webinar content sits behind a registration form or inside a video file on a hosting platform. The only public trace is often a short promotional blurb that says “Join us to learn more”. That gives assistants almost nothing to work with when someone asks “how do I prepare for the new EU packaging rules?”, even if your session answered exactly that.
Build a page for every session
After the event, create or update a permanent page with:
- A descriptive title that states the question answered, such as “How Small Exporters Can Prepare for New EU Packaging Rules”
- A short summary of three to five sentences near the top
- Speaker names and roles, linked to their bio pages
- Key takeaways as a list
- The full transcript, cleaned up and broken into sections with headings
- The recording, embedded for people who prefer video
You can keep the registration form for people who want the slides, but keep the summary and transcript open.
Turn audience questions into Q&A content
Live questions are gold because they are real questions buyers ask. Collect them, group similar ones, and publish answers in a Q&A section on the webinar page. Strong ones can become separate short articles. This matches how people phrase prompts to AI assistants.
Add structured data
Use Event markup before the session, then VideoObject for the recording, with name, description, upload date and transcript where supported. Add FAQPage markup only if the Q&A section is visible on the page. Our guide on FAQ schema implementation explains the basics.
Spread the content
- Publish the recording on YouTube with a detailed description and chapters; see YouTube descriptions for AI
- Write a LinkedIn article from the key takeaways
- Offer a guest post on the same topic to an industry publication
- Ask co-hosts or partners to link to the session page
Plan topics around buyer questions
Choose webinar topics based on prompts your buyers ask AI, not only on internal priorities. If people often ask assistants “how to choose an ERP for a 50-person manufacturer”, a webinar that answers that, followed by a strong written page, fills a real gap.
Measure the effect
A few weeks after publishing, ask assistants that show sources the question your webinar answered. Check if your page appears and how your speakers are described. One session will not change everything, but a series of well-documented sessions builds a visible body of expertise.
Repurpose older recordings
If you already have a library of past webinars, start with the sessions that answer evergreen questions. Generate transcripts, edit them for clarity, and publish them on dedicated pages with summaries. Remove or update sessions with outdated advice. A back catalogue of well-documented sessions can become one of your strongest sources of expert content.
